Terugkijkend op 100 jaar kwaliteit, bundelen Xelyo België (40 jaar) en de Zwitserse Kwaliteitsvereniging, SAQ (60 jaar) hun krachten om zich te richten op de toekomst. Tijdens drie bijeenkomsten met leden van beide netwerken worden drie thema's besproken die de weg vooruit voor kwaliteit zullen bepalen.

Tijdens deze Future Focus Talk gaven Matthias Verlinde van Cegeka, Peter Pedross van PEDCO en Tim de Grave van ArcelorMittal inzicht in de mogelijkheden van AI voor kwaliteitsbeheer.
Matthias Verlinde gaf een korte introductie waarin hij de enorme investeringen in AI door grote technologiebedrijven en overheden benadrukte, en vergeleek dit met een nieuw Manhattan-project. Hij benadrukte het belang voor kwaliteitsmanagers om op de hoogte te blijven van technologische ontwikkelingen en de balans tussen open en gesloten AI-modellen te begrijpen. Verlinde wees ook op de opkomst van redenerende en agentische AI, die complexere taken kunnen uitvoeren en de noodzaak van menselijke tussenkomst bij gevoelige beslissingen.
Peter Pedross besprak de praktische toepassingen van AI in kwaliteitsbeheer. Hij benadrukte hoe AI de efficiëntie kan verhogen door taken sneller, nauwkeuriger en kosteneffectiever uit te voeren dan mensen. Harnessing AI for Quality Management: Insights and Innovations from Belgium's and Switzerland's Industry Leaders
During this Future Focus Talk on AI, Matthias Verlinde from Cegeka, Peter Pedross from PEDCO, and Tim de Grave from ArcelorMittal provided insights into the opportunities of AI for quality management.
